National program on World Physiotherapy Day 

 – Sri Lanka

In view of marking the world Physiotherapy Day, Chartered Society of physiotherapy (Sri Lanka) conducted a series of events for last two months beginning second week of July of 2015.

  The objective of this program was to enhance the awareness of public about prevention, pre and post managements of physical fitness of human body from some deceases, injuries and complications assuring the wellbeing of life. The program was consisting of five free physiotherapy clinics, four public awareness workshops and tow sport injury management workshops serving for many needy for more than thousand individuals including patients. This series included twelve media (television) coverage.

  With the guidance and contribution of 35 physiotherapists  representing CSP (SL ) the final day of the program was held on the  World Physiotherapy Day on 8th September in Ruwanwella, a rural town in Sri Lanka offering free clinical and awareness events living the sense of value and importance of Physical Therapy in the hearts of public.
